The Role

We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Graduates to join our 2025 Graduate Program in our Audit and Assurance division in our Melbourne and Geelong offices.

Graduate Program

  • In your first 2 weeks as a Moore Australia (VIC) Graduate you will participate in a structured Graduate Orientation.
  • Orientation will consist of a mixture of activities including getting to know your colleagues, your buddy, and your team; introductions to all our service lines; systems training; compliance programs; soft skill trainings and lunch with our CEO.
  • You will have the opportunity to attend the National Graduate Conference where you will meet our National Team and connect with other Graduates across our Australia network.
  • You will take a deep dive into your chosen service line, with a comprehensive training program to gain a strong understanding of your new role and equip you with the skills for a successful start to your career.
  • You will learn about all the Learning and Development opportunities available to you, including the CA Program, and our ongoing Moore Australia Graduate training programs.

As a Graduate in our Audit and Assurance team, you will be involved in:

  • Assisting in the preparation and completion of audit and assurance engagements for all client entities
  • Constructing and maintaining logical and accurate audit programs, working papers and checklists using CaseWare in accordance with audit methodology.
  • Preparing cashflow statements.
  • Reconciling client accounts and accounting records.
  • Preparing financial statements for small clients.
  • Reviewing financial statements and ensuring disclosures
  • Testing and evaluating the design and interpretation of relevant controls within a business, and effectiveness of those controls.
  • Performing substantive audit testing to appropriately cover the identified risks of material misstatement relating to a client’s financial records.
  • Working to understand and develop industry knowledge, business processes and internal controls.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program candidates must have:

  • An Accounting degree, or Commerce/Business-related degree (Majoring in Accounting)
  • Due to complete an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in 2024 or by January 2025

To be considered for the Graduate Program, all applicants must be available to attend in person assessment centres and interviews between 6 May 2024 to 31 May 2024.
